• On June 3, a dual Italian-Australian woman allegedly consumed a whole bottle of wine she had brought onto a Noumea-to-Sydney flight.
• Cabin crew intervened when she refused instructions not to drink her own alcohol and became verbally abusive.
• The woman allegedly kicked a flight attendant in the stomach during an attempt to physically restrain her to a seat.
• AFP officers removed her from the plane on landing at Sydney Airport and she was taken to Randwick Hospital for a health assessment.
• She has been charged with four offences including assaulting a crew member and disorderly conduct and faces up to 10 years in prison for the most serious charge.
