61-Year-Old Man Found Dead After Greenfield House Fire Reported for Chemical Odor

Investigators are determining the cause following a hazmat response.

Overview

  • Emergency personnel entered the residence when they could not reach the occupant and found a 61-year-old man deceased in a bedroom.
  • The blaze was contained to that bedroom and had self-extinguished by the time responders arrived, according to police.

  • Authorities reported no ongoing safety concern for nearby residents and said no responders were injured, with no other occupants found inside.
