6-Year-Old Boy Fatally Mauled by Dogs in Portland

A 6-year-old boy was fatally mauled by two Great Dane-Mastiff mixes at a family friend's home in Portland, Oregon.
The boy was at the home as part of an everyday arrangement where the dog owner, a friend of the boy's grandmother, would take him to school.
The boy was known to have been told to stay away from the dogs and the garage they were kept in due to their dangerous nature.
The dog owner attempted to stop the attack and even grabbed a gun, but was unable to save the boy's life.
The dogs are now in the custody of Multnomah County Animal Services, and it is unclear if the dog owner will face charges.
