5th Assam Rifles Half Marathon Draws 3,038 Runners in Shillong

Overview
- Sandeep Devrari won the men’s 21 km in 1:07, while Tamsi Singh topped the women’s 21 km in 1:23.
- Participants came from 26 states and two Union Territories, with official totals of 559 in 21 km, 1,502 in 10 km, and 977 in 5 km.
- The races—Cloud Chase (21 km), Pine Path (10 km), and Crystal Stream (5 km)—were flagged off by Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera and other senior officials.
- Cash prizes of Rs 20 lakh were awarded to 48 runners, alongside medals, certificates, commemorative T-shirts, and consolation prizes.
- Air Marshal Surat Singh attended as chief guest and presented prizes, as officials highlighted strong growth with participation more than doubling from last year.
