55 Injured in Los Angeles Metro and USC Bus Collision

A collision between a Los Angeles Metro train and a USC bus has left 55 people injured, two critically, near Exposition Park.

The incident occurred shortly before noon on Exposition Boulevard, close to the USC campus and the Natural History Museum.
A total of 55 individuals were injured, with two suffering serious injuries and 16 others transported to the hospital in fair condition.
The bus reportedly crossed into the path of the Metro E Line train, which runs mostly at street level without full crossing gates.
Los Angeles Fire Department and paramedics responded, treating 37 people on the scene; no children were among those hospitalized.
The LA Metro has expressed sympathy for the injured and the LAPD is leading the investigation into the crash.
