500,000 Signatures Fuel Legal Challenge to March Justice Referendum

President Sergio Mattarella has signed the decree calling the constitutional referendum for 22–23 March on the Nordio justice reform.
Fifteen jurists led by Carlo Guglielmi say they have met the constitutional quorum and have filed to suspend the government’s date before the TAR Lazio.
Opposition parties PD, M5S and AVS requested an urgent briefing from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to press for a postponement after the quorum was reached.
Meeting the threshold enables the committee to deposit signatures at the Cassazione, gain formal promoter status, and access reimbursements and media parity.
Promoters are preparing possible further actions over the ballot wording and a conflict of attribution to the Constitutional Court, as a report of a TAR rejection is disputed.
