Overview

• The 5-year-old girl, who went missing from her South Providence home around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, was found dead the next morning in a pond at Roger Williams Park.
• State and local police, including Providence and Cranston officers, searched all night for the girl using K-9 teams and drones.
• The girl was discovered unresponsive in the park's swan boat pond, which is not far from her family's home.
• Upon discovery, the girl was immediately rushed to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
