5-Year-Old Killed, Many Critically Hurt in Motorhome–SUV Crash in Marion County

Troopers say no one in the motorhome was wearing a seatbelt.

  • A southbound motorhome and a westbound SUV collided in the intersection, causing the motorhome to overturn.
  • The motorhome carried 15 people from Springfield, Ohio, and a 5-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Thirteen other people from the motorhome were transported to an area hospital in critical condition, the driver had minor injuries, and the 25-year-old SUV driver was also critically injured.
  • Troopers closed the roadway during the investigation and later reopened it, and no cause has been released.
