5-Year-Old California Girl Fatally Mauled by Family Dogs

The girl, attacked by two Rottweilers in her backyard, had lived with the dogs her entire life without prior incidents.

The fatal attack occurred on Sunday in Covina, California, when a 5-year-old girl was mauled by two family dogs, a 10-year-old Rottweiler and a 6-year-old Rottweiler mix.
The girl was found injured in the backyard and transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Another family member sustained minor injuries during the attack, according to authorities.
Animal control impounded all four dogs living at the residence as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department continues its investigation.
