Edgecombe's Commitment Elevates Baylor to a Top-5 Recruiting Class Nationally

V.J. Edgecombe, the No. 5 player in the 2024 recruiting class, has committed to Baylor, choosing the Bears over Duke and Kentucky.
Edgecombe, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from the Bahamas, is Baylor’s fourth commit and second five-star player in the 2024 class.
His commitment moves Baylor into a top-5 class nationally and the best recruiting class in the Big 12.
Edgecombe is a dynamic athlete who puts a ton of pressure on defenses in transition and in the halfcourt when he attacks the basket.
He is expected to be a major contender for Big 12 Freshman of the Year and become a top-10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
