Reburn, formerly 4A Games Ukraine, has announced its first original IP, 'La Quimera,' a sci-fi first-person shooter blending Latin American folklore with advanced technology.
The game is set in a dystopian Latin American megalopolis and surrounding jungles, featuring a customizable exosuit and tense gunplay.
La Quimera offers both single-player and three-player co-op modes, marking a shift from the studio's previous Metro series focus on single-player experiences.
The world and narrative of La Quimera were co-created by filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn and writer E.J.A. Warren, aiming to explore sociopolitical themes and modern realities.
Reburn now operates independently from 4A Games Malta, which retains the Metro franchise, following a split that began in 2014 and culminated in the rebrand.
