Overview
- ESPN analysts say San Francisco can draft the best player available after adding Mike Evans and Christian Kirk and re‑signing Dre Greenlaw, with offensive line, edge rusher, and safety still flagged as needs.
- Fresh mock drafts steer the No. 27 pick to the trenches, with Clemson tackle Blake Miller or Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks projected as first‑round options.
- The left tackle picture remains unsettled with Trent Williams carrying a heavy 2026 cap charge and no clear successor, which keeps tackle planning front of mind.
- One local analysis makes the case for an edge rusher at No. 27 based on Raheem Morris’s fronts and the plan to use Mykel Williams inside next to Osa Odighizuwa.
- The 49ers own six picks in the first four rounds, start at No. 27 overall, and do not have a third‑rounder after dealing it to Dallas for Odighizuwa.
