48.2-Metre Chikkadpally–Domalguda Link Bridge Inaugurated in Hyderabad

Overview

• Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar opened the bridge on January 2, 2026.
• The structure creates a direct crossing over the Hussain Sagar surplus nala near Ashok Nagar, linking Chikkadpally and Domalguda.
• It connects key local nodes including City Central Library at Ashok Nagar and AV College at Gaganmahal.
• GHMC built the 48.2-metre bridge, and the corporation says it is now operational.
• Travel from Chikkadpally toward Ashok Nagar, Domalguda, Liberty Junction, the GHMC head office and the Secretariat is projected to be nearly twice as fast, according to a GHMC press note.
