- The UPSC announced that 459 candidates qualified in the CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2024, competing for 515 vacancies across CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP and SSB.

- The annual exam paves career paths in various Central Armed Police Forces, with selected officers eligible to rise to the rank of Additional Director General.
- Final appointments remain provisional pending the outcome of a writ petition currently under consideration by the Delhi High Court.
