Overview

• The UPSC announced that 459 candidates qualified in the CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2024, competing for 515 vacancies across CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP and SSB.
• ADG Mahesh Bhagwat and his team mentored 66 of the successful candidates, who cleared the interview stage held between May 5 and June 5.
• Mentored aspirants achieved strong results with Shyam Yadav securing All India Rank 2 and Shreyas S earning AIR 5, both within the top 50.
• The annual exam paves career paths in various Central Armed Police Forces, with selected officers eligible to rise to the rank of Additional Director General.
• Final appointments remain provisional pending the outcome of a writ petition currently under consideration by the Delhi High Court.
