45 Migrants Dead as Two Boats Sink Off Djibouti Coast

  • Djibouti's coast guard reported that a joint rescue effort has been ongoing since early Monday, resulting in 115 survivors being rescued so far.
  • The IOM is assisting state emergency services in the search and rescue operations, with 32 survivors already found.
  • The Eastern Route, used by migrants to reach Gulf states, is one of the busiest and most dangerous migration routes, with thousands risking their lives annually.
