Overview

• HSI Dallas executed a criminal search warrant at Chicas Bonitas Cabaret on Sept. 26 in a probe into suspected sex trafficking and unlawful employment.
• ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations took 41 undocumented people into custody for administrative immigration violations, with 29 suspected of working illegally at the club.
• Agents seized about $30,000 in U.S. currency along with business records relevant to the investigation.
• ICE reports at least five detainees have prior convictions, including Juan Carlos Salas Medina and others with assault, DUI or prostitution offenses.
• The operation involved Dallas police, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, the U.S. Marshals Service, Texas DPS and IRS Criminal Investigation, and processing of detainees is ongoing.
