4-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot in Lancaster Road Rage Incident

Suspects Identified and Arrested Using Automated License Plate Recognition Technology

A 4-year-old boy was fatally shot in a road rage incident in Lancaster, California, while his parents were in the car.
The incident occurred after the suspect's car cut off the family's car and began pursuing them.
The boy's parents immediately transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Using Flock Safety automated license plate recognition technology, police identified and arrested a 29-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman on suspicion of murder.
The family was out shopping when the incident occurred.
