- The festival runs December 12–19 in Thiruvananthapuram with 206 films from 82 countries across 26 categories.
- Abderrahmane Sissako receives the Lifetime Achievement Award, accompanied by a five-film package titled The Global Griot.
- A Youssef Chahine centenary retrospective anchors the heritage lineup, while Garin Nugroho features as Contemporary Filmmaker in Focus.
- Special presentations include a 4K restoration of Pulp Fiction and restored classics such as Blind Chance, Battleship Potemkin, and The Gold Rush.
- Preparations are in place with delegate cards distributed by Cultural Affairs Director Divya S Iyer and the festival’s media cell inaugurated by former KSFDC MD K Jayakumar.
