30 Gang Members Indicted in NYC Following Six-Year Turf War

Authorities indicted 30 members from three rival gangs responsible for nearly half of the gun violence in upper Manhattan over six years.
The gangs, known as 200/8 Block, 6 Block, and Own Every Dollar, were involved in 18 shootings that resulted in seven deaths, including four innocent bystanders.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg emphasized the impact of the violence on the local community, creating a pervasive climate of fear.
Among the charges, 12 members face murder charges, while others are charged with attempted murder and gun trafficking.
The NYPD and prosecutors seized over 30 firearms, highlighting the extensive illegal gun trade fueling the violence.
