3-Year-Old Found Dead After Being Abandoned at Brooklyn Hospital

Authorities are searching for the boy's mother and her boyfriend, who fled the scene, as questions mount about the child's death and prior custody issues.

The child, identified as Kyng Davis, was dropped off unresponsive at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn on Sunday morning and was pronounced dead shortly after.
Hospital staff reported that two individuals, believed to be Kyng's mother and her boyfriend, left the scene in a white sedan with a mismatched Pennsylvania license plate.
The boy showed signs of rigor mortis, indicating he may have already been deceased when brought to the hospital, although the medical examiner has not yet determined an official cause of death.
Sources revealed that Kyng was the subject of a custody battle in 2022, with his maternal grandmother seeking custody due to concerns about his mother's alleged drug use, but custody was not granted.
Police are actively investigating the circumstances of the boy's death and the identities and whereabouts of the two individuals who abandoned him at the hospital.
