Overview

• A fire broke out at Datta Bule's home near the Kasara Bypass in Maharashtra's Thane district on Tuesday morning, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit.
• Local boys passing by on their way to play cricket attempted to extinguish the flames and rescued three-and-a-half-year-old Krishna Bule from the burning house.
• Despite their efforts, Krishna succumbed to suffocation injuries while being transported to a hospital for treatment.
