3-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Abandoned at Brooklyn Hospital; Police Search for Mother and Boyfriend

Kyng Royal Foster, a 3-year-old boy, was pronounced dead shortly after being abandoned at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.
The boy's mother, Sunshine Davis, 24, and her 38-year-old boyfriend are wanted by police and are believed to have fled the scene in a white sedan with mismatched Pennsylvania plates.
Preliminary examinations suggest the child may have already been deceased when brought to the hospital, showing signs of rigor mortis and possible lividity, though bruising was initially suspected.
Family members revealed that the boy had been the subject of a custody battle in 2022, with his maternal grandmother seeking custody due to concerns about the mother's alleged drug use.
The NYPD has launched a manhunt for the couple, as family members, including Kyng's grandmother and godmother, plead for the mother to turn herself in and provide answers.
