3 Massachusetts Suspects Held in Alleged Knifepoint Robbery at R.I. Casino Hotel

All three remain jailed without bail following initial arraignments in Warwick.

Overview

  • Police say two 19-year-old women lured a casino patron from the Bally’s Twin River floor to a private hotel room shortly before 1:45 a.m. on Monday.
  • Inside the room, a 28-year-old man allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and took more than $1,500 in cash before letting him leave and telling him not to call police.
  • The suspects are Naushka A. Machuca of Marlborough, Tashawana Tuckta of Boston, and Dominyck S. Sims of Worcester, according to Lincoln Police.
  • All three face first-degree robbery and conspiracy charges, with Machuca and Sims also charged with disorderly conduct and Sims facing an additional weapons-related count.
  • Court records note no pleas were entered at the felony arraignments, and police issued a public advisory urging caution when interacting with unfamiliar individuals.
