• Police said the car struck a large stone while negotiating a turn near a hotel in the Kasara Ghat area around 10 pm on Tuesday.
• The vehicle was allegedly driven in a rash, negligent manner, and the driver jumped out and fled the scene, according to the Kasara police.
• The deceased were identified as Riaz Haisyat Ali, Asadullah and Afzal, all from Uttar Pradesh and aged between 30 and 35, with bodies sent for postmortem.
• A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, and efforts to locate the accused are ongoing.
• Separate reports note two additional crashes: a Bhiwandi–Kalyan flyover incident that killed a motorcyclist and an Ochira collision where an SUV hit a KSRTC bus, killing three family members.
