3 Former York County Jail Officers Indicted in Alleged Bribery, Contraband Scheme

State prosecutors took over following grand jury indictments.

  • Kayleigh Hamilton, 38, is charged with two counts of receiving improper gifts as a public servant, and Zarek Melick, 26, faces one count of the same charge.
  • Emma Kehoe, 25, is charged with conspiracy and receiving improper gifts, while inmate Connor McGlone, 29, is charged with conspiracy and four counts of providing improper gifts to public servants.
  • Sheriff William King said investigators uncovered the scheme in April and stopped it before any contraband entered the jail.
  • Hamilton, Kehoe, and Melick resigned during the investigation, McGlone was transferred to Maine State Prison, and the improper-gifts charge carries up to six months while conspiracy carries up to a year if convicted.
