Overview
- The competition ran Aug. 20–28 at Grafenwöhr Training Area in Germany.
- The 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment squad from V Corps won after grueling evaluations of tactical skill and cohesion.
- Team members were Staff Sgt. Seth Peaton, Sgt. James Tranchina, Spc. Devin Schallert, Spc. Elesban Ruiz, and Pfc. Samuel Vittitow.
- The winners will represent USAREUR-AF at the U.S. Army Best Squad Competition at Fort Bragg from Oct. 2–12, 2025.
- Leaders said the 10-squad field trained through weapons, land navigation, medical and CBRN lanes to build confidence and return lessons to their units.
