• A group of 28 girls from government schools in East Singhbhum departed on August 10 under Executive Magistrate Mritunjay Kumar’s leadership
• Today, the cohort will arrive at ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota for an academic tour of research and launch operations
• Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s inspiration spurred the district to organise the initiative to broaden STEM access for underserved students
• Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi said the experience is designed to inspire the girls to dream big and pursue careers in science and technology
• The visit complements ISRO’s outreach programmes to involve tribal and economically marginalized students in advanced space science learning
