27-Year-Old Woman Dies After Falling from Moving Van in Wakefield

Driver arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug-driving offences, released on bail pending further inquiries.

Leah Senior, a 27-year-old woman from Huddersfield, died after falling from a moving white Transit van on Denby Dale Road in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The incident occurred between 8.20pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday night, where the speed limit is 40mph.
A 25-year-old man from Kirklees, who was driving the van, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug-driving offences.
He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident, urging anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with any relevant information.
