• Officials responded about 6 p.m. Thursday when a 27-year-old man was found unconscious in the water at Centennial Beach in Naperville.
• He was transported to Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
• The beach remains closed Friday pending the park district’s safety review.
• The park district has not released the victim’s name in adherence to privacy protocols.
