Overview
- The Guardia Civil arrested a man in Villarcayo (Burgos) as the presumed author of two forced-entry robberies at churches in Campoo de Yuso.
- The break-ins occurred on September 8 after the access doors were forced and ecclesiastical objects were taken.
- Part of the stolen property was recovered the same day, with the rest found the next day in a roadside ditch near one of the temples.
- The Torrelavega-based ROCA unit identified the vehicle and the suspect and coordinated with the Villarcayo post to carry out the arrest last week.
- All recovered items were returned to the parish priest, and the investigation remains open.
