Overview

• Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. to the 800 block of West Market Street for reports of gunfire and found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
• The victim was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
• Preliminary findings indicate he was unintentionally struck during an exchange of gunfire between two unknown suspects.
