$242 Million Overhaul to Modernize Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport by 2025

Delta Airlines and Metropolitan Airports Commission unite for redesign featuring enhanced LED lighting, tech upgrades, and more power outlets at gate seating; no taxpayer funds to be deployed.

The $242 million overhaul at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is set to modernize terminal concourses and gate areas, with completion expected by late 2025.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) plans to invest $182.5 million into the project, with Delta Airlines contributing an additional $60 million.
The project aims to provide an exceptional airport experience for the millions of passengers who travel through the airport annually, according to MAC CEO Brian Ryks.
Planned improvements include a unified design for concourses and around 75 Delta gates, new flooring, wall finishes, and enhanced LED lighting.
The modernization project will also incorporate technology upgrades to improve flight and gate information screens, and increase the number of power outlets at gate seating.
