Overview

• At around 19:10 on June 3 a bystander contacted 112-Andalucía after seeing a man floating off El Palo beach in Málaga
• Cruz Roja, local and national police, Guardia Civil and 061 paramedics were dispatched to the scene
• Rescuers stabilized the unconscious 24-year-old with on-site CPR before transferring him to the Regional Hospital in Málaga
• He remains under close monitoring in the hospital’s intensive care unit
• Less than 24 hours earlier a 12-year-old boy was found lifeless in a private pool in Mijas and could not be revived
