Overview

• The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on June 14 when a 23-year-old tourist fell into the Black Water at Rogie Falls in Wester Ross.
• She was with others on a popular North Coast500 route when the accident prompted an urgent call for help.
• Police Scotland, specialist watercraft from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Dundonnell Mountain Rescue, HM Coastguard and the Scottish Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
• Despite extensive rescue efforts, emergency teams pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
• Authorities confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances and will refer the case to the Procurator Fiscal.
