22-Year-Old Woman Dies in Skiing Accident at Aspen Highlands

This marks the third on-resort skiing or snowboarding death in Colorado this year.

A 22-year-old woman died after colliding with a tree at Aspen Highlands Ski Resort on Saturday, Jan. 27.
The accident occurred on the Exhibition run, and ski patrol responded immediately to the scene.
The woman was unconscious and non-responsive, and despite advanced lifesaving measures, she was pronounced dead on the scene.
This is the third on-resort skiing or snowboarding death publicly reported in the state so far this year.
The tragic accident came just a few days after another woman was trapped in a gondola for 15 hours at a Lake Tahoe ski resort.
