21-Year-Old Bartender Brianna Long Killed by Stray Bullet in Georgia Bar Shooting; No Arrests Made Yet

Tragic end for popular Georgia bartender and former soccer star, Brianna Long, whose life was cut short while on duty at The Pier bar in Remerton; Georgia Bureau of Investigation and local authorities continue the search for the perpetrator amidst community grief and shock.

Brianna Long, a 21-year-old bartender, was killed by a stray bullet in a shooting that occurred outside The Pier bar in Remerton, Georgia, after an altercation around 2:30 AM after bar closing time.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and local authorities are investigating the incident, after which multiple vehicles in the vicinity were also shot. However, no arrests have been made so far.
Brianna, who was a former high school soccer star and Positive Athlete Georgia regional winner out of 5,000 nominated during her time at Paulding County High School, also worked as a lifeguard and had been studying dental hygiene at Valdosta State University.
Described by her family as a 'bright light' with an 'unparalleled ability to light up a room and make everyone feel loved', Long left behind a legacy of positivity and was mourned by many, with a GoFundMe to support her family raising nearly $10,000 shortly after her death.
In response to Long's tragic death, The Pier bar announced its indefinite closure, calling the situation a 'terrible nightmare' and expressing how the situation left them struggling to find the right words.
