• The victim was knocked unconscious and is being treated for a serious head injury at the University Hospital of North Tees.
• Cleveland Police said the suspect wore a grey tracksuit and left on foot along Yarm Road before turning right onto Bridge Road.
• On Monday, officers confirmed a 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken into custody for questioning.
