2026 Super Rugby Pacific Super Round to Launch Christchurch’s One NZ Stadium

Anzac Day weekend in April will see ten teams play five matches in a send-off for the 25,000-seat venue’s launch.

Overview

  • Super Rugby Pacific has confirmed that the 2026 Super Round will open Christchurch’s One NZ Stadium during Round 11 on April 24–26.
  • The festival will feature five matches across three days, with all ten teams scheduled to play at the new 25,000-seat venue.
  • The Crusaders will kick off the weekend on Friday night as the defending champions at their rebuilt Ōtautahi home ground.
  • Traditional Anzac Day fixtures on Saturday include Hurricanes vs Brumbies and Blues vs Reds.
  • Construction remains on track to deliver the stadium in late April ahead of its first major sporting event.
