2025 Society of Composers and Lyricists Awards Celebrate Top Achievements in Music

The ceremony honored resilience and creativity in the face of recent challenges, with Kris Bowers, Trent Reznor, and Diane Warren among the winners.

The 6th annual SCL Awards took place at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, highlighting excellence in composition and lyricism across film, television, and interactive media.
Kris Bowers won Outstanding Original Score for a Studio Film for 'The Wild Robot,' while Daniel Blumberg received the same honor for an Independent Film with 'The Brutalist.'
Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Luca Guadagnino were awarded Outstanding Original Song for a Comedy or Musical for 'Compress/Repress' from 'Challengers.'
Diane Warren won Outstanding Original Song for a Dramatic or Documentary Visual Media Production with 'The Journey' from 'The Six Triple Eight,' marking her third SCL win.
Special honors included the Spirit of Collaboration Award for Harry Gregson-Williams and Ridley Scott, and the Jury Award for Jeff Beal for his live score of 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.'
