2025 Handball World Championship Set to Begin Across Three Host Nations

Germany enters the tournament as a strong contender following its Olympic silver medal win in Paris 2024.

• The 29th Men's Handball World Championship will take place from January 14 to February 2, 2025, hosted by Norway, Croatia, and Denmark—the first time the tournament is held across three countries.
• Germany, led by coach Alfred Gislason, will play its group-stage matches in Herning, Denmark, facing Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic in Group A.
• The tournament features 32 teams divided into eight groups, with the top three from each group advancing to a second round before the knockout stages begin on January 28.
