Overview

• Saxony recorded 16,739 Abitur candidates with 353 achieving a perfect 1.0 average, representing 2.1% of test takers.
• Saxony-Anhalt improved its 15-point scale math average to 9.31 from 8.30 last year and saw 153 students attain a 1.0 overall grade.
• Bavaria’s final G8 cohort comprised around 5,900 students taking exams at roughly 100 Auffangnetzschulen ahead of the full shift to a nine-year Gymnasium track.
• Leipzig’s Anton-Philipp-Reclam-Gymnasium led regular Saxony schools with 11 top grades and the Landesgymnasium Sankt Afra in Meißen produced 14 perfect scores among gifted students.
• Local districts such as Bautzen reported 22 top-scoring students including four at Goethe-Gymnasium Bischofswerda while Görlitz and Niesky schools each contributed nine perfect Abitur averages.
