The 2008 U.S. Olympic men's basketball team, known as the 'Redeem Team,' was honored for restoring USA Basketball's dominance with a gold medal in Beijing.
Dwight Howard, a first-ballot inductee, was recognized for his eight All-Star selections, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and 2020 NBA championship.
Sue Bird, a five-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time WNBA champion, was celebrated as one of the greatest players in women's basketball history.
The enshrinement ceremony will take place on September 6, 2025, in Springfield, Massachusetts, following a weekend of events at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
