Public voting for the top three games is open from March 14 to March 21, with the final inductees to be revealed on May 9.
This year's nominees span decades of gaming history, from Atari's 1979 hit Asteroids to the 2005 rhythm game Guitar Hero.
Last year's inductees included Barbie Fashion Designer, Computer Space, The Last of Us, and Wii Sports, bringing the total number of games recognized to 44.
The Hall of Fame celebrates games that have significantly influenced video games and popular culture, with past inductees like The Last of Us, Wii Sports, and Tetris.
