2024 Academy Awards Winners Announced

The Academy names 15 student films from around the globe, with the ceremony moving to London for the first time.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected 15 winners out of 2,683 entries from 738 colleges and universities worldwide.
Winning films come from both U.S. and international schools, including first-time winners from India, Japan, and the Czech Republic.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London on October 14, marking the first time it will be held outside Beverly Hills.
Gold, silver, and bronze placements in four categories—Alternative/Experimental, Animation, Documentary, and Narrative—will be announced at the event.
Winning films become eligible for the 2025 Oscars in the Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, and Documentary Short Film categories.
