2024 PGA Awards Documentary Nominees Announced
Seven films, including '20 Days in Mariupol' and 'Beyond Utopia', vie for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures.
- The Producers Guild of America has announced the nominees for its 2024 Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures award, including '20 Days in Mariupol', 'American Symphony', 'Beyond Utopia', 'The Disappearance of Shere Hite', 'The Mother of All Lies', 'Smoke Sauna Sisterhood', and 'Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis)'.
- '20 Days in Mariupol' and 'Beyond Utopia' have also been recognized in IndieWire’s critics survey of the best films of the year.
- Last year's winners of the Outstanding Producer for Documentary Motion Pictures were the producers of 'Navalny', which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
- Nominees for other categories, including Sports, Children’s and Short Form Television Programs, will be announced on December 15, while Theatrical Motion Pictures, Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, Television Series/Specials, and Televised/Streamed Motion Pictures will be announced on January 12.
- The winners will be honored at the 35th Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony on February 25, 2024.
