2024: A Year Filled with Astronomical Events

The total solar eclipse on April 8 will be visible across much of the central and eastern US, with the next total eclipse to cross North America not until 2044.

Several space flights are planned for 2024, including potential lunar landings and a spacewalk by private citizens in the SpaceX Dragon capsule.
Other notable events include the alignment of the moon with Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn on June 29, and the close encounter of Jupiter and the waxing gibbous moon on January 18.
