2023 MTV EMA Awards Announces Winners Including Triple Award Winner Taylor Swift Despite Event Cancellation

MTV announces winners of the cancelled 2023 MTV EMA Awards including Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Jung Kook, and Måneskin; ceremony cancelled due to "volatility of world events".

Despite the cancellation of the 2023 MTV EMA Awards due to world events, winners were announced, with Taylor Swift leading as the night's big winner. She secured three awards: best artist, best live and best video for 'Anti-Hero'.
Other notable winners include Nicki Minaj, who took home the award for best US act and best hip-hop, and newly debuted solo artist Jung Kook, who won best K-pop and best song for 'Seven', featuring Latto.
Italian rock band Måneskin also won two awards: best rock and best Italian act, while David Guetta, a native of Paris where the event was planned to be held, received the award for best electronic.
The event, originally planned to occur in Paris on November 5, 2023, had been slated to feature performances from a diverse range of artists. However, the ceremony was cancelled because of the 'volatility of world events.'
Best group and biggest fans winners were not announced at the time when MTV released the list of winners, on November 6, 2023.
