Overview
- First responders were called just after 1 a.m. to Route 138 in Easton just past the Raynham town line.
- A significantly damaged Tesla was found about 20 feet off the southbound lane in a wooded area and was actively burning.
- Human remains discovered in the rear seat were later identified as the 20-year-old victim.
- The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody of the remains for autopsy, and the victim's name has not been released.
- Easton Police, Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office are leading the ongoing investigation.
