2-Year-Old Virgina Boy Revived After Accidental Opioid Overdose Using Nurcan Nasal Spray

Two Virgina women were arrested for false identification after a toddler they were responsible for was found unresponsive from an opioid overdose and revived using Narcan.
The 2-year-old boy was taken to the hosptial where he received advanced medical care to stabilize his condition after being revived with Narcan.
Narcan is a nasal spray that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and was recently approved for over-the-counter use.
The incident is under investigation by local police authorities.
Overdose deaths from opiods have been on the rise nationally, prompting some schools and lawmakers to make Narcan more readily available.
