Samantha Fox, a British pop star and former model, was arrested over the weekend due to an alleged drunken disturbance on a British Airways flight. The plane was preparing for takeoff but returned to the gate when Fox got into a dispute with another passenger.
Fox first rose to fame as a 'Page 3 girl' in the UK tabloid The Sun, becoming a prominent sex symbol before transitioning to a music career. Her debut single 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)' became a top-10 hit across Europe and North America.
Fox's record sales declined sharply after the 1980s. She released further studio albums, but none produced any hits. Her father had been managing her career until '91, when she hired accountants to track down more than £1 million that she believed he had embezzled from her.
In 2003, Fox revealed that she was in a relationship with her then-manager, Myra Stratton, which continued until Stratton's death in 2015. Fox later married tour manager Birgitte Olsen.
